Cathy Strachan Lindenberg, co-founder of TeenSmart International, received the esteemed honor of being named a 2024 Distinguished Alumni by Yale University’s School of Nursing. Recipients of the YSN Distinguished Alumni Award are selected for their outstanding achievements in their career, contributions to their communities, or service to the Yale School of Nursing.
Cathy’s unwavering commitment to nursing and public health leadership has been evident since the inception of TeenSmart in 2004. Under her guidance, TeenSmart has reached over 150,000 youths from 20 countries and established the JovenSalud Alliance in 2010, channeling significant resources towards empowering Central American youth to navigate life's challenges with resilience and preparedness.
In addition to her professional achievements, Cathy has served as a mentor, influencer, teacher, guide, and thought partner for many. Today, we join with TeenSmart’s extended network of friends and family in celebrating this well-deserved honor.
